Chase Sevic

Campus Staff, Western Kentucky University

I (Chase) grew up attending church, but I was living a double life. I understood the gospel at an early age, but I loved my sin more than I loved Jesus. This led to a vicious cycle of guilt and shame for most of my teen years. I attended the University of Louisville in the Fall of 2014 and met a CO staff member, John, my first week of classes. It was through his intentional pursuit of me and being around gospel community that I started to really wrestle with the fact of living a double life. My junior year of college I was brought low and humbled before God. I finally gave up living for myself and believing the lie of self-sufficiency. For the first time in my life I turned from my sin and trusted in Christ for salvation. The gospel that I had heard thousands of times finally breathed new life into me, and my life has not looked the same since. I decided to go on staff with this ministry upon graduation in December of 2017 and spent my first two years on staff in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. I returned to the US to join the staff team in Kentucky in March of 2020.

Brittany heard the gospel at a young age from her grandmother. She believes there were signs of new life in Christ at a young age, but was still an immature Christian when she attended Troy University in Alabama. Brittany was involved with Campus Outreach her last two years of college and was discipled by a woman who was on staff with CO. It was during her time at Troy, and attending “beach projects” where she built a deep foundation for her faith. Her last summer of college she went on a Cross Cultural Project with CO to Belo Horizonte, Brazil. This is where our relationship gets its start.

We were married in March of 2021, and have a daughter Campbell born in May of 2023.
