I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. In Louisville, I attended a Christian school. It was from this school I learned about Jesus and the Gospel. I had a lot of head knowledge of who God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit were, but this knowledge did not initially translate into a relationship with the Lord. As a young woman, I tried to live for the approval of others and was stuck in the trap of perfectionism. It wasn’t until I was about 13 years old that the Lord captured my heart and the Gospel finally meant something to me. During a Wednesday night at church, I was finally faced with the reality of my sin and what that meant for my life. I was a wretch in need of a Savior and the scales had finally been removed from my eyes for me to see that. That night I prayed to receive Christ as my Savior. The Lord took hold of my heart and I finally had a relationship with the Savior who died on the cross for my sins and rose again three days later. I was finally faced with the truth that the Lord loved me no matter what and that I did not need to live for the approval of the world because Jesus already loved me. With the shepherding of the local church and many strong believers investing in my life I continued with my walk with the Lord.

I attended college in the Fall of 2022 at Eastern Kentucky University. Coming to college, I was very excited to find a community of believers who loved Jesus. My first semester of college was very hard and full of challenges and changes. I was in a very low place, but still believed the Lord would provide for me in some way. I had tried many campus ministries, but none seemed to be the right fit for me. The beginning of my second semester of college I was about to transfer back home until a friend invited me to the Campus Outreach kickoff event. It was through this event that I had found Campus Outreach and was shown the beauty of a community of believers who loved the Gospel and the local church. I continued getting involved and plugged into Campus Outreach. Through Campus Outreach, I was reminded of the beauty of the Gospel and the gift that it is to have a relationship with Jesus. It was through CO that I had seen God’s sovereignty and that I belonged at EKU.

Around my Junior year of college I had started feeling God calling me into ministry. I wrestled with the idea of becoming CO staff that entire year. It wasn’t until that summer when I attended a summer project as a room leader, that it was made clear to me this was the path that God had called me to. I had seen the need for the Gospel and that my life meant nothing without the ability to share the good news of Jesus Christ (Acts 20:24). College ministry through Campus Outreach changed the trajectory of my life and continued to show me the power of God’s grace and the gospel. I am excited and thankful to form partnerships with support raising, and to see how the Lord continues to work in the lives of college students. I am very eager to get to work on the college campus and work through CO and the Spirit to build up college students to become laborers of the Gospel.
